Milwaukee Bucks Grades: Starters

Michael Carter-Williams, A+

24 Points | 9-18 FG | 5-6 FT | 5 REB | 4 AST | 1 STL | 1 BLK |

The lesson the entire NBA learned tonight? Don’t mess with MCW. He balled out against Golden State, and had his best game in a Bucks uniform. He clearly deserves his starting spot right now–maybe it’s not too late for Carter-Williams to morph into a quality starting point guard.

Khris Middleton, C

16 Points| 6-16 FG | 2-2 FT | 2 REB | 4 AST | 2 STL | 0 BLK |

He continued to distribute well, but Middleton’s shooting is still suspect. He was just 2-9 from beyond the arc, which is not ideal considering he’s the one sharpshooter who’s healthy on this team right now. Still, he had a good all-around game aside from the inefficiency.

Giannis Antetokounmpo, A

20 Points | 9-17 FG | 2-3 FT | 6 REB | 4 AST | 0 STL | 1 BLK |

For much of this game, we got dominant Giannis. I love dominant Giannis. He had some mistakes, but he attacked inside relentlessly and as a result managed to get back to his 20 point scoring ways. And of course, no great Giannis performance is complete without him stuffing the stat sheet.

Jabari Parker, B

14 Points | 6-13 FG | 2-3 FT | 2 REB | 1 AST | 0 STL | 1 BLK |

I had Jabari a full letter grade higher, but then remember how lost he looks on defense almost all the time. Jabari showed some great moments on the other end of the floor, but he let several Warriors dunk or layup without even trying to stop them. Plus he’s still awful on the glass. But hey, we got a stink face.

Greg Monroe, A (A+++ for effort)

10 Points| 5-11 FG | 0-0 FT | 13 REB | 7 AST | 2 STL | 1 BLK |

I would be willing to bet money Moose would’ve sat out any other regular season game. But not this one. Clearly down to one functional leg, Monroe still managed a double-double and efficient overall game. There may be some questions about his defense, but nobody can question Greg Monroe‘s desire to help the Milwaukee Bucks win games.
