Milwaukee Bucks Grades: Bench

Jerryd Bayless, A

19 Points | 8-12 FG | 2-2 FT | 2 REB | 7 AST | 1 STL | 0 BLK |

Black Hole does the dirty work. That’s the biggest compliment I can think to give him. Bayless is clearly better than we all gave him credit for, but sometimes he legitimately looks like the only Buck on the floor that knows how to score. Bayless keeps this team afloat when it feels like nobody else can.

Johnny O’Bryant, B+

7 Points | 3-6 FG | 1-2 FT | 3 REB | 1 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK |

Johnny O’Rebound made another appearance against the Mavericks, as two of his three boards came on the offensive glass. O’Bryant remains the hardest working Buck on both ends. JOB takes nothing for granted, and continues to work his ass off to get better. His consistent play of late speaks to how well that’s working out for him.

Miles Plumlee, A

6 Points | 3-3 FG | 0-0 FT | 5 REB | 1 AST | 1 STL | 2 BLK |

Plumlee was the best Bucks center against Dallas, and it wasn’t close. The Plumgod had a perfect game–no missed field goals, missed free throws or turnovers. He also managed to record all of his fairly impressive statistics in just 15 minutes of play. John Henson is surely hoping the Bucks deal this dude any day now, because he’s outplaying him at the moment.

Rashad Vaughn, C

0 Points | 0-2 FG | 0-0 FT | 3 REB | 1 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK |

It’s good Vaughn found ways to contribute without scoring at all, but it’s bad he had to. To his credit, the Rook did throw a few lovely passes in this one. Maybe Point Rashad isn’t dead after all… Nope, just checked, it’s dead.

O.J. Mayo, B

13 Points | 5-8 FG | 0-0 FT | 4 REB | 0 AST | 1 STL | 0 BLK |

Coach Mayo had a nice bounce-back game against the Mavericks. His shooting was efficient, he got one of Milwaukee’s four steals, and of course grabbed a few rebounds. Some more ball movement might be nice too, but I’m not one to question the coach.
