Milwaukee Bucks Grades: Bench

John Henson
John Henson /

, A

15 Points | 6-7 FG | 3-6 FT | 4 REB | 1 AST | 0 STL | 1 BLK |

Henson was the man who opened out the lead early in the fourth quarter, and it was his dominance that effectively sealed victory for the Bucks. The big man went on a personal 8-0 run that helped to turn the tide in Milwaukee’s favor, and showed just how difficult of a matchup he’s capable of being. Now we just need to see it more often.

O.J. Mayo

, F

0 Points | 0-2 FG | 0-0 FT | 0 REB | 0 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK |

For as much as we’ve praised him for his contributions as a leader up to this point this season, Mayo deserves to be vilified for his stupidity on this occasion. He lost control and he embarrassed himself. It’s not the type of leadership that this or any other team needs, and in all likelihood the Bucks will end up having to play without him due to what feels like an inevitable suspension.

Jerryd Bayless

, B-

13 Points | 4-13 FG | 2-2 FT | 5 REB | 2 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK |

The only way to describe some of his hero ball antics in the third quarter is brain dead, yet in the second and fourth, Bayless gave Milwaukee exactly what they needed. He steps up when required and has no problem knocking down big shots. If only he could learn not to take some of the bad ones.

Rashad Vaughn

, C+

5 Points | 2-5 FG | 0-0 FT | 3 REB | 0 AST | 0 STL | 1 BLK |

This was a big night for Vaughn as he got the chance to return to his hometown as an NBA player, and he lived up to the occasion. A nice early three must have felt good to him, but in Mayo’s absence his role was significant not just ceremonial as the second unit grabbed Milwaukee a firm footing.

Johnny O’Bryant
Johnny O’Bryant /

, C

2 Points | 1-1 FG | 0-0 FT | 0 REB | 0 AST | 1 STL | 0 BLK |

Only played for a handful minutes after a DNP against Indiana, but continued to show that he’s deserving of a meaningful role in the rotation. He’s reached a point where he comes in and just looks to do exactly what’s required of him and nothing more. He’s the perfect foot soldier.
