Milwaukee Bucks Grades: Bench

John Henson

, B+

8 Points | 4-5 FG | 0-1 FT | 4 REB | 1 AST | 0 STL | 1 BLK |

Henson’s best play of the night came on a turnaround left-handed hook jumper from around thirteen feet. He missed the ensuing free throw, but that doesn’t diminish the quality of the basket. He used his athleticism to convert a pair of impressive dunks, punctuated with a lefty-hook.

O.J. Mayo

0 Points | 0-4 FG | 0-0 FT | 0 REB | 1 AST | 1 STL | 0 BLK |

Perhaps it would have been better if the NBA had suspended Mayo for his tantrum in Minnesota–he was awful Monday night. He missed all four of his shots, committed two turnovers, and compiled a game-low -25 (+/-). Obviously he’s much better than that. Look for improvement Tuesday in Chicago.

Jerryd Bayless

, B

3 Points | 1-4 FG | 1-2 FT | 1 REB | 0 AST | 0 STL | 1 BLK |

He suffered an injury to his already tender left ankle and left the game for good. Before the injury he made a three pointer and showed active feet defensively. As one of the few Bucks capable of making a three pointer consistently he will be missed if he’s forced to miss extended time.

Rashad Vaughn

, B-

2 Points | 1-3 FG | 0-0 FT | 2 REB | 2 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK |

The rookie committed a trio of turnovers and missed his only three point attempt. Despite his struggles, Vaughn has been getting more minutes lately and stands to improve from the experience. Scoring should come in time.

Johnny O’Bryant

5 Points | 2-3 FG | 1-2 FT | 1 REB | 0 AST | 1 STL | 0 BLK |

JOB was called into action by Greg Popovich, of all people. After Bayless was unable to shoot his free throws, Pop chose JOB from the Bucks bench to take the shots. Some took it as Pop calling out a deep bench player. I took it as Pop trying to tell Prunty to give JOB more minutes.
