Joe Prunty, B+

  • The master schooled his protege after a remarkably fast start by the upstart Bucks. Before that, Prunty did a good job of experimenting with unconventional assignments like Parker on Leonard and Giannis on LMA. Neither Parker or Giannis did an amazing job on their gifted opponents, but they didn’t do a poor job either, and that experience against the NBA’s best could prove invaluable.
  • When was the last time MCW, Jabari Parker, and Giannis all attempted a three pointer in the same game? If your answer is “never” than you’re the big winner. It seems that Prunty allows a measure of freedom to his players when it comes to taking jumpers–a measure that Kidd clearly doesn’t. The Bucks may never be a remarkable three point shooting team, but they could be a good one.
