Joe Prunty, C

  • With Mayo and Bayless out, Prunty had to reach deep into his bench and give Vaughn and Ennis bigger roles. It’s hard to criticize Prunty for the team’s performance when he’s forced to call upon one rookie and one essential rookie to make plays off the bench.
  • In his short time as acting Buck’s head coach, Prunty has shown no hesitation taking a momentum-halting timeout. Take late second quarter timeout for instance. He used it with just over a minute left in the period at a time when the Bucks desperately needed something positive to happen. He was rewarded with a Jabari Parker jumper. You can’t take timeouts with you to the locker room. Prunty seems to understand that better than most.
