Reactions: The Bad

  • The fact that the Bucks got to the free throw line 37 times was certainly not a bad thing. Only making 67.6 percent of them? That’s not really going to cut it. Luckily Milwaukee got away with it on this occasion, but it’s something that needs to be rectified before it becomes a major issue.
  • Three-point shooting was a problem. That won’t surprise anybody. Milwaukee made no three-pointers in the first half, one in the second half and two in overtime. That upward trend worked out well, but averaging only a single three-point attempt once every 5.3 minutes in this game was far from ideal.
  • To continue the three-point trend, Milwaukee’s defense behind the arc was far from ideal and they can count themselves lucky that they simply caught the Hawks on an off night from deep. The Bucks allowed Atlanta 30 attempts from distance, but it was the quality of them that was most concerning. Kyle Korver has struggled this season, but he went 3-5 on some of the easier looks he’ll have had. It’s not too often that the rest of Atlanta’s starting five only makes 3-15 from deep either.
  • 19 assists leaves a lot to be desired. The Bucks need to continue to move the ball in order to create high quality shots.
