Joe Prunty, B+

  • At this point it feels very much like Prunty has got his guys on the roster who he trusts and when it really matters that’s what he tightens the rotation down to. That’s important. Of course, you want a coach to adjust to what he sees on any given night, but it’s also important to breed familiarity for close game situations.
  • Puts a big emphasis on his team moving the ball which is unsurprising considering his Spurs background. After a poor night in terms of assists against Atlanta, Prunty’s team clearly came out of the blocks with greater purpose in that department and it paid off. Now the trick for him is finding out how they can maintain that level with greater consistency.
