Milwaukee Bucks Grades: Bench

John Henson
John Henson /

, B

4 Points | 2-3 FG | 0-0 FT | 2 REB | 1 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK |

He only played fifteen minutes, but was active during that span. My opinion of the big man is slightly skewed towards the negative so when other fans see highlight reel dunks and lengthy hook shots I see butterfingers on open looks, turnovers at the top of the key, and sporadic defense. At least he does it all with a smile.

Jerryd Bayless, D+

3 Points | 1-5 FG | 0-0 FT | 1 REB | 0 AST | 0 STL | 1 BLK |

That wasn’t good. For the second straight night Bayless struggled mightily with his jumper, this time going 1-5 from three. He also triggered a handful of those dribble-around possessions where the shot clock just ticks away and he (or a teammate) is left with a crap look.

Rashad Vaughn

0 Points | 0-2 FG | 0-0 FT | 3 REB | 1 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK |

Three rebounds is nice. It may even be the most that I’ve ever entered for him. He missed a wide open layup that looks even worse the more times you watch it. What hurts worse is the Pelicans followed that layup miss with a make. Four point swing right there.

Johnny O’Bryant

, C-

4 Points | 2-5 FG | 0-0 FT | 3 REB | 0 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK |

JOB pulled no punches Saturday night. He provided the usual collection of energy and harassing defense. He’s someone you can count on to score a handful of points and grab a few rebounds. That doesn’t sound like much (because it isn’t), but it’s still more than we got from him last season.
