Milwaukee Bucks Player of the Week (Jan. 17th – Jan. 23rd)
The Bucks did not do too much to help themselves this week. They played three teams and beat one of them. On the bright side, the team they beat was the toughest opponent they played this week. That is how the Bucks seem to do it this season. They are the ultimate rise-to-the-challenge team in the NBA right now.
We saw some nice things out of a few of the players but it did not translate to team success. With interim coach Joe Prunty moving back to his assistant coach role in the upcoming week we will see what Jason Kidd can do with this team.
Kidd will be returning to the head coach role after missing a few weeks after hip surgery. The Bucks played pretty well in his absence. Now he has to come in and give the team a spark if they want to keep playing after the regular season concludes.
The Bucks have three games next week and all three will be “winnable.” If Milwaukee wants to have something to play for down the stretch they need to figure out a way to win some of them.
