Reactions: The Good

  • The multiple factors that allowed Milwaukee to build some momentum over the last month continued with Kidd’s return. That’s not to say that there wasn’t a different feel, but a lot of the core philosophies remained and that’s something to be pleased about.
  • Khris Middleton just keeps on trucking. 25 points, 11-11 from the charity stripe and arguably most importantly for the Bucks, his seven assists added some coherence to the team’s sets on a night where MCW really struggled.
  • Giannis Antetokounmpo was getting a lot of freedom from the Magic, and the byproduct of that seemed to be that he was enjoying himself. That carried over into the post-game interviews which included Thanasis, and with his character being taken into consideration, maybe it’s important for Giannis to be smiling on the court. More fun means more of this.
  • Jabari Parker continues to work hard at his game and as he’s likely to continue mixing good games with bad games, he deserves praise for this showing. The reactions to much of how Parker has played have been overblown and irrational. Everybody remain patient, and in the mean time, sit back and enjoy his dunks.
