Milwaukee Bucks Grades: Starters

Michael Carter-Williams

, B

9 Points | 4-9 FG | 1-2 FT | 8 REB | 6 AST | 2 STL | 0 BLK |

There are times when MCW can look in more control when he’s moving at speed, which is a crazy thought in itself. When he effortlessly goes coast to coast before finishing contested layups with ease, as he did in this one, that doesn’t seem unrealistic though. A good spread of production all around, although the same blemishes remain. His attempt at running a three on two fastbreak was one to forget. Men have been driven to insanity for less than trying to figure out MCW.

Khris Middleton

, D-

9 Points| 2-13 FG | 5-5 FT | 7 REB | 0 AST | 2 STL | 0 BLK |

Nobody panic, but this was yet another bad game for Khris. Middleton has in fact only made 28 percent of his last 50 three-point attempts, so his 0-3 in this one wasn’t necessarily surprising. The shock was his zero assists considering the rate he’s been dishing at of late. A two day break will probably do Middleton good as it’s not unlikely that he may be a little tired from carrying this team on his back for the last month. Expect better on the West Coast trip.

Giannis Antetokounmpo

, A+

28 Points | 11-17 FG | 6-7 FT | 4 REB | 6 AST | 3 STL | 2 BLK |

This game didn’t necessarily start out well for Giannis who’s hands seemed to be covered in butter early on, so frequent were his turnovers. I’m glad to get that out of the way too because that was the only negative. The Greek Freak played 46 minutes on the second night of a back-to-back and showed no ill effects, as maybe the most dominant player on the court. A couple of exclamation mark dunks will stick out in the mind, but this was an excellent effort overall from Giannis.

Jabari Parker

, B+

17 Points | 7-13 FG | 3-3 FT | 5 REB | 1 AST | 1 STL | 1 BLK |

A nice mid-range jump shot complimented a night of first class work at the rim from Parker. The aggression was there, he looked for his shot more and it was better for all parties involved. Much like Giannis, after effectively taking the night off with his poor play in Memphis, this was the perfect response. More of the same please.

Greg Monroe

Surprisingly poor rebounding night, but he scored well and can’t really be accused of not taking advantage of Hassan Whiteside‘s absence. Did all of his work at the rim as you’d expect, and has now rolled off five straight games of 20 points or more.
