Jason Kidd, C-
- Ran maybe his best ATO play of the season to create a clear out for Giannis’ monster game-tying dunk with 1:01 left, but followed that up with an ugly and clueless sequence where every player just seemed desperate to get the ball to Middleton as if he would magically recreate the same magic from last year’s Heat game. He didn’t. The play was terrible. The shot was terrible. The game was lost.
- I know with Johnny O’Bryant out things were tighter than ever on the bench, but what I’m not sure of is how that created the need to roll out a trio of Jerryd Bayless, Tyler Ennis and Rashad Vaughn together. Who would ever have thought that have been a good idea? They were a -4 in their three minutes together in spite of the company of Giannis and Moose, but that number does no justice to just how disjointed the team looked with those three combined. He gets half a pass because his players likely just needed some form of rest, but it’s not something you’d want to see ever again.
