Jason Kidd, A-

  • I still don’t believe Kidd when he says there isn’t an ulterior motive to the decision to bench Monroe and Carter-Williams, but regardless, the way it has shifted dynamic has been positive. Kidd can’t be blamed if some of the individuals he’s inserted aren’t exactly performing like superstars, he’s playing with the cards he’s been dealt. Saying that, the shape of the team with these changes is certainly benefitting the Bucks core trio and that is the crux of what Kidd’s job is actually about.
  • The game was close in the fourth quarter and Kidd did something he has often moved away from this season, he brought Jabari Parker back in for crunch time minutes. If that costs some games, so be it, but the team has little to benefit from him not getting that chance. As Jabari is growing more confident in himself, Kidd has to ensure to repay that with further signs of confidence. Now is not the time for more tough love with Parker.
