Khris Middleton Faces Tough 3-Point Contest Competition

Booker may still only be just over half way through his rookie season, but he’s already left very few around the league in doubt of his abilities as a shooter.
In what has been a horror season for the Phoenix Suns, Booker is the undoubted bright spot. He’s the youngest player in the entire association, yet he’s clearly one of the best shooters too. In Friday’s Rising Stars Challenge, Booker flashed his range making 5-8 from deep in what could turn out to have been his warm up for Saturday’s event.
In his sole college season with Kentucky, Booker made 41.1 percent of his long shots. That’s a number that hasn’t really fallen off with the NBA’s deeper three-point line either. Booker is averaging 40.3 percent from distance on the season and 35.5 percent in his last five games.
Booker certainly seems to be very cool and composed, and in spite of his relative inexperience it would be a surprise if he proves to be overawed by the occasion. He’s a strong dark horse contender.
