11. Furkan Korkmaz – Shooting Guard (Anadolu Efes)

Words by Adam McGee

Korkmaz’s 2015-16 season: 5.0 PPG, 1.7 RPG, 0.7 APG, 0.8 SPG, 0.1 BPG, 50.0% FG

If he doesn’t withdraw between now and then, there’s a strong chance that Korkmaz could be one of the very youngest prospects in this year’s draft class. The young Turk is only 18 years old and already contributing at a high level with a solid base of skills, that in itself will be enough to gain attention.

Korkmaz has good size at 6’7″ for the modern NBA wing, but more importantly than that his skill-set ticks a lot of the boxes that teams look for in a dynamic backcourt player.

Korkmaz could certainly develop into a consistent lights out shooter in the NBA and whether it’s spotting up, off catch-and-shoot scenarios or having set himself up off the dribble, he’ll have a lot to offer. That 46 percent shooting touch mixed with nice athleticism is a potent combo.

His wiry frame may be cause for concern for some, creating the possibility for him to be bullied by physical guards who are capable of posting up, yet at only 18, it may be premature to make any definitive judgements on how he will eventually fill out.
