Jaylen Brown is a 6’7″ shooting guard who can’t really shoot. Brown’s made just 28.4 percent of his three-point attempts this season with California. So why is he projected to go so high in the draft?
Probably because if Brown develops really well, he could be the next DeMar DeRozan. Brown is crazy athletic and fast, and can smash home dunks all over opposing teams.
He may play the shooting guard position, but the way Brown operates around the rim you’d think he’s a tiny power forward sometimes. His seven foot wingspan helps add to that illusion.

Even without a jump shot, Jaylen Brown looks to be an incredible talent that should be a lot of fun to watch at the NBA level. If he develops one, who knows how good he could be. Some lottery team could end up lucking out, if Brown does start hitting his threes.
