6. Henry Ellenson – Power Forward (Marquette)

Words by Jordan Treske

Ellenson’s 2015-16 season: 16.6 PPG, 10.2 RPG, 1,8 APG, 0.9 SPG, 1.7 BPG, 43.6% FG

Listed at 6’10” and 231 pounds, Henry Ellenson could arguably be the best athlete for a player at his size in this draft. He runs the floor exceptionally well, has the handles to go coast to coast and can even be a playmaker if the opportunity presents itself.

Ellenson’s already a great offensive player and can even become a better one if he’s eventually able to reach his ceiling. He’s already an efficient player as he shoots 48 percent from inside the arc and has an impressive post-game at only 19 years old.

The biggest area Ellenson will have to improve is on the defensive end. While he’s currently posting a solid 1.8 blocks per game, Ellenson will have a tough time matching up against players that are more experienced and possibly more athletic than him.

Additionally, his ability to space the floor will have to improve if teams play him as a power forward/four.  Ellenson can be a versatile fit for any team, but his three-point shooting (he’s shooting 29 percent from deep this year) must improve, especially in this era of the NBA.
