9. Dudley and a pick? Okay!

Milwaukee Sent: Carlos Delfino, Miroslav Raduljica and a 2015 Second Round Pick

Los Angeles Sent: Jared Dudley and a 2017 First Round Pick

Hindsight has multiple fascinating effects on this deal, but to cast your mind back to the time it was made is a lot of fun. Doc Rivers was working hard to push the Clippers to the next level in a hurry and with persistent injury problems, Jared Dudley and his contract was getting in the way.

For the Bucks, they were coming off the back of a historically bad season, in no position to win soon, and with a roster full of young talents they were in need of veteran influence. Dudley on a deal that was neither overly expensive or long was a player they could take on for locker room presence alone.

Then the Clippers decided to throw in a first round pick too.

Dudley would return to much improved health during his time in Milwaukee and be a central figure in a surprise Bucks resurgence that brought them all the way to a hard fought first round series with Chicago.

The fact that the Bucks would later trade away both Dudley and the first round pick for exceptionally low returns certainly stings for Bucks fans, but it shouldn’t take away from how great this trade was at the moment it went down.
