Milwaukee Bucks: 5 Things We’ve Learned This Season
The Emergence of Khris Middleton
After signing a five-year, $70 million contract last offseason, there were some questions surrounding Khris Middleton heading into this season.
He certainly had already made his mark by emerging as a “three-and-D” player for the Bucks last season and shouldered a heavy load for the team after the All-Star break, but would he be able to grow more under a new look Bucks team?
That answer is unequivocally yes as Middleton has exceeded expectations by having a career year and his ongoing development has arguably been the brightest spot in a highly disappointing season.
He’s the most dynamic offensive player the team has and while he hasn’t had the same two-way impact that he had last year, that applies to every Bucks player that was on last year’s team due to the defensive struggles that team has had this year.
Overall, Middleton has firmly placed himself as part of the team’s young core and it’s not crazy to think that he still has room to grow at just 24 years old.
