The Development of Giannis and Jabari

The collective development of both Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jabari Parker have been reasons why many Bucks fans are braving through this tough season and it’s produced mixed results for both players.

For Antetokounmpo, he’s improved in almost every statistical category in his third year and has put up some impressive performances on bigger stages, like his 33-point performance against the Cleveland Cavaliers earlier in the season.

Unfortunately, the development in Antetokounmpo’s perimeter game has continued to stall this season. It was certainly too much to expect a completely refined outside shot over the course of an offseason, but it’s nevertheless a work in progress for Antetokounmpo.

As for Parker, he certainly came back to action earlier than what was initially being reported last Summer and most importantly, he hasn’t had any setbacks this season.

However, Parker’s gone through a lot of the rookie troubles that he missed out on last year and his fit next to Monroe has been dubious to say the least (it’s no coincidence that Parker’s best games this year happened with Monroe coming off the bench).

Despite that, both players are filled with so much promise and Parker and Antetokounmpo’s further development should be paramount for the rest of the season.
