Reactions: The Bad

  • Someone should file a missing persons report on Greg Monroe. That impostor we saw last night was not the double-double machine we’ve come to expect. In thirty minutes Moose scored just four points on 0-2 shooting with four turnovers, including a couple costly ones late in the fourth. I don’t know what that was, but it certainly wasn’t Moose.
  • As is so often the case turnovers directly translate into wins and losses. The Bucks gave it away 22 times to the Hornets 17, but where giveaways really hurt is in the fourth quarter–where the Bucks committed nine turnovers to the Hornets five. Again, this is a young team we’re dealing with in these Bucks. One could call for a complete overhaul, but I’m more apt to call it growing pains.
  • Cody Zeller is a good player. Good, not great. Friday night the Bucks made Zeller look like a perennial All-Star as he scored 23 points on 9-12 shooting to go along with nine rebounds. Yuck.
