14 Points | 6-7 FG | 0-0 FT | 6 REB | 3 AST | 1 STL | 2 BLK |

This is the sort of performance from MCW that critics hate. He didn’t do anything out of the ordinary–he took the same shots he always does with varying degrees of difficulty–but the difference Friday night was that he actually made them. He could just as easily gone 1-7, but hey that’s MCW for you.

It’s one thing to have an off-night. When you play 82 games those are going to happen. But Monroe was a straight up no-show Friday. He never looked comfortable against the physical Al Jefferson which resulted in him fumbling the ball away four times.

Fans upset about his three-point shooting (0-6) are the same ones that cry foul when he doesn’t pull the trigger. You can’t have it both ways. He’s going to be an NBA gunner. And clearly Jason Kidd has given him a green light. How long that lasts, along with Vaughn’s confidence, remains to be seen. Trust me, Vaughn shooting is a good thing.
