Reactions: The Good

  • Jabari can play forever now. The young forward played some 51 minutes in this game, which is both exciting and probably very irresponsible. No wonder the Bucks are looking to bring in Steve Novak: with Giannis fouling out, there just weren’t other options at forward aside from Johnny O’Bryant, but we’ll get to him later.
  • The Double-Double, Double Trouble team was in full force in Atlanta last night. Jabari Parker, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Greg Monroe all pulled in double-doubles, and Michael Carter-Williams was just one rebound away.
  • Miles Plumlee has continued to impress in his playing time with the Bucks. He’s not going to fill up a box score like Greg Monroe does, but man does Plumlee hustle. He seems to fit better with that first unit on offense, honestly. His defense is–wait for it–miles better than Monroe’s, just due to his speed and hustle on that end. Plus he has a knack for catching some fantastic lobs.
  • Even if he’s not a great fit with the starters, Moose sure did have an impact on Saturday. He ended the night with 24 points, 12 rebounds, four assists, and a steal in 36 minutes against the Hawks. He was a menace on the offensive boards, where Monroe would often simply grab his own misses and try again.
