Milwaukee Bucks Grades: Starters

O.J. Mayo

, A-

9 Points | 3-8 FG | 1-2 FT | 7 REB | 6 AST | 5 STL | 0 BLK |

Mayo had an MCW-esque game while filling in for him on Saturday. Mayo racked up the points, rebounds, assists and steals without needing a ton of shots. He did accrue three turnovers too, but what else do you expect from a wing masquerading as a point guard?

Khris Middleton

, C-

12 Points| 4-16 FG | 3-4 FT | 4 REB | 4 AST | 4 STL | 2 BLK |

Khash had a beautiful game against the Hornets, but just looked tired on Saturday in Atlanta. Middleton needs to learn to snap out of first option mode if he’s off and somebody else is on, like what happened Saturday. His always tough defense got Middleton above the D range of grades, but not by much.

Giannis Antetokounmpo

, A-

19 Points | 8-17 FG | 3-4 FT | 12 REB | 3 AST | 0 STL | 2 BLK |

Giannis is having a nice post-All-Star break so far, with back to back double-doubles. He’s not the only one either. Antetokounmpo proved why he’s the NBA’s leader in personal fouls committed by fouling out of this game, but he was still great in the time he played.

Jabari Parker

, A+

28 Points | 11-21 FG | 6-7 FT | 13 REB | 2 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK

Remember when some fans wanted to trade Jabari Parker? It’s okay, I’ll pretend like I don’t either. Anyway, Jabari set a career-high in points scored, and also got a second double-double in two post-ASB games. Jabari will almost certainly break 30 before the year is up–who knows what he’ll manage for his career-high over the next two decades. 50? 60? More?

Miles Plumlee

, B

6 Points| 3-4 FG | 0-0 FT | 7 REB | 0 AST | 1 STL | 1 BLK |

The Plumdog Millionaire is great. His speed and hustle means he adds a lot on both ends, with help defense and with devastating alley-oops. He fits well with the Bucks starters, which poses a tough question: what happens when John Henson returns to action in Milwaukee? Is it really smart to cut this dude’s minutes right now?
