Reactions: The Good

  • Have yourself a game, Miles Plumlee! The Plumdog got mysteriously benched for this game, but that didn’t stop him from having his best performance of the season. Plumlee dropped 18 points on the Heat on Wednesday. Here are two of the most impressive ones. Keep in mind that’s a true center running the floor here:
  • The statistics that Giannis Antetokounmpo can rack up on a nightly basis are so impressive. Giannis ended the night with nearly 40 combined points, rebounds, assists, and steals. Can we start keeping track of that? Let’s call it Impact. I would wager that Giannis has been around Draymond Green and Russell Westbrook in terms of Impact over the past few weeks.
  • Jabari Parker is just fantastic. I have completely changed my stance on trading him for Blake Griffin or DeMarcus Cousins. Forget it. I’ll take my chances with the 20-year-old guy that can do this:
  • ‘Bari also made another three. The manner in which he made it was beautiful–rolling off of that screen right to the line, and just nailing the shot. Parker looked like Kyle Korver on this one.
  • No good reactions section could be complete without including all of the Bucks big three. Khris Middleton was also quite good on Wednesday, from all over. Middleton had an Impact of 38 in this game. He’ll pour in the assists and rebounds at times, and give Giannis a run for his money.
  • The Bucks got to the line a ton against Miami. Antetokounmpo, Parker, and Middleton combined for 27 free throw attempts. They missed seven of them, but just getting to the line that often is great. It had the dual effect of getting the Bucks easy points and putting Hassan Whiteside and Dwyane Wade in foul trouble near the end of the game.
