Milwaukee Bucks Player of the Week Rankings
1. ???
2. ???
3. Jabari Parker

The former number two overall pick played in all three games this week and averaged 33.8 minutes, 16.0 points (on 47.7 percent shooting), and 4.0 rebounds per game. He was second on the Milwaukee Bucks in scoring this week.

As I said on the previous slide there were four other players vying for the spot Jabari Parker occupies for this week. Jabari made the player of the week rankings for something he didn’t do rather than something he did do.

He had ZERO turnovers this week. When you are flawless in the turnover department you are not wasting your teams possessions. That always helps in terms of winning games.

Parker also had pretty high usage this week. His usage rate of 21.7 was tied for third highest on the team. It is remarkable that he shot almost 50 percent from the field, never turned the ball over, and had a usage rate over 20. That is an incredibly efficient performance from a 21-year-old player.

In fact, Jabari was one of only five NBA players who, over their past three games, had a usage rate of 20 or more and zero turnovers. Of those five players Jabari was the youngest and had the highest usage rate. That is very impressive.

Unfortunately, beyond the insane offensive efficiency, Parker did not contribute much to the Bucks this week. Actually, Parker had the second lowest defensive rating on the team this week and that led to him having a negative net rating.

Jabari did enough offensively to earn him his spot on the Bucks player of the week rankings. This was not his best week and he had plenty of competition, but in the end playing a lot of minutes and never turning the ball over is an accomplishment none of his competitors could best.
