Reactions: The Bad

  • The Bucks got killed off by the three-pointer as Joe Ingles was an unlikely figure who truly drove a dagger into Milwaukee’s heart. 13-37 from deep may not be a high percentage but at that volume it’s always going to hurt. Whether it’s focus, discipline or a basic inability to understand how to rotate, Milwaukee still leave men open from distance.
  • Shelvin Mack is far from being one of the NBA’s more glamorous point guards, yet he has been incredibly impressive since being traded to Utah. He cut the Bucks apart with intelligent play and simple passing. 13 points and 12 assists combined a variety of his skills to be influential but not dominant. Guys like Gordon Hayward and Rodney Hood can handle the ball at other spots for Utah, but what they really needed was a steady presence at the point. Mack has provided that, and there could be a lesson in his approach for the Bucks own point guard future.
  • If Kidd wants to experiment with two big men, would it not make more sense to return Plumlee to the starting lineup and see how Monroe fares alongside a shot blocker like Henson? With eight points and four boards, there really wasn’t a lot from Moose on this occasion.
