Reactions: The Bad

  • I had to alter my recap because it was initially going to be a scathing review of home-cookin’ officiating. But upon further review (yes, I pulled out a stopwatch) Tobias Harris held the ball for just 4.90 or 4.98 seconds depending on your timer. Which is, unfortunately, less than the five second limit. Five seconds or five thousand seconds there is no reason that Giannis should have been on Drummond on that play. Check it out in it’s entirety.
  • Jabari Parker has been up and down the last few games scoring just seven points against Memphis before 19 against the Jazz. Monday night he scored just five points on 2-7 shooting. He made his only three point attempt, which is nice, but the Bucks would have been well served is he could have scored in his usual 15-20 wheelhouse.
  • Each of the starters posted a positive plus minus. Each of the bench players were in the negative. See where I’m going with this? The bench is an area that we’ve known needs modification. The plus minuses are as follows: Henson -17, Inglis -9, Plumlee -11, Ennis -4, and Cunningham -17.
  • The Bucks out-rebounded the Pistons, 40-39 (a nice accomplishment), and out-assisted them too 23-18. How then, did they find a way to lose? The Bucks shot just seven free throws, making four, while the Pistons were 13-17 from the charity stripe.
