Michael Carter-Williams – 5.2 assists per game – 25th in the NBA

Well this is a bit awkward. MCW is hurt at the moment, but even without playing he still holds the assists per game lead for the Milwaukee Bucks. Giannis has piled up a ton of assists lately, but he started running the offense too late to catch the injured Carter-Williams.

If Giannis plays all next season at point forward, there’s no question he’ll top this list. Right now he’s third, behind both MCW and Khris Middleton. Middleton too has been a great passer this season.

Funny enough, the 24th player in the NBA in terms of assists per game is none other than Brandon Knight. Knight may have used too many possessions to fit in this team’s offense, but his shooting could’ve certainly helped at times.

MCW’s future with the Bucks is cloudy right now. After trade rumors, a benching, and now an injury, it’s impossible to determine exactly what the team plans to do with him. He’s still under contract so the smart money is on a MCW return next season, but that all depends on Milwaukee’s front office.
