Reactions: The Good

  • Jabari Parker showing aggression is always a positive, but when he comes out fearlessly against one of the NBA’s elite defenses, it’s very impressive. 10 points in the first six minutes was eye-catching, and his confidence in his jump shot is something that’s really worth paying attention to.
  • John Henson is the forgotten part of Milwaukee’s core, but with a four year, $44 million contract on the books, it’s important that Milwaukee figures out how best to get their value out of that. With Greg Monroe not working out quite as expected, there’s a real opportunity for Henson to seize the long-term starting center spot. He didn’t start this one but got extended minutes in real, non garbage time units. An impressive double-double leaves plenty of promise for the future.
  • The Bucks deserve credit for their overall rebounding performance, even if they let themselves down with their cover at times, particularly on a certain individual. 49-45 in Milwaukee’s favor on the boards is always a rare and welcome sight though.
