Reactions: The Bad

  • Kemba Walker did not go off, but Nic Batum did. Batum had a red-hot first half, and eventually ended the night with 25 points, eight assists, seven rebounds and a steal. He shot 53 percent from the field and 56 percent from three-point territory. That dude is getting paid this summer.
  • The Bucks starters got blown out of the gym. No starter recorded a plus/minus better than Jabari Parker’s -21 against Charlotte. Greg Monroe was by far the worst of the bunch though. Milwaukee got outscored by a staggering 31 points in his 22 minutes and change. That’s like getting beat by 68 points over an entire 48 minute game. Yikes.
  • Monroe wasn’t alone in playing poorly though. Khris Middleton was the only starter to hit at least half of his field goals, and his 13 points was second among the starting five. Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jerryd Bayless were especially bad, scoring eight and two points, respectively.
