The First Step

This one is easy, but it’s a time-honored tradition across all major sporting leagues. Find whichever team the Chicago Bulls are matched up with, and root for that team.

Oh. Chicago did not qualify for the NBA Playoffs this season. Well, this is awkward. For the first time since the 2007-08 season, the Bulls are taking their summer break a little early.

This is almost disappointing. Of course it’s very fun that Chicago did not make the playoffs at all, considering they have players like Jimmy Butler and Pau Gasol on their roster.

It is a bittersweet fun though, because watching the Bulls flounder and ultimately lose in the playoffs because their team never has more than six effective NBA players is always so rewarding for Bucks fans.

I suppose Milwaukee could root against other Midwestern teams. The Detroit Pistons are already eliminated though, and it’s really tough to root against Paul George.

It seems like the time-honored tradition of rooting against Chicago teams won’t work this time. We will have to move on, and find another way to pick a team for Bucks fans to root for.
