Milwaukee Bucks 2015-16 Season Review: Giannis Antetokounmpo
The Worst of Antetokounmpo
While Antetokounmpo made huge strides in many ways this season, he still has some areas that need work, with the most obvious of those weaknesses being his three-point shooting.
Although he showed progress as well as an increased confidence in shooting the long ball by the end of the season, shooting 26 percent from deep isn’t ideal for a team that has dealt with spacing issues for a while now.
With that said, that problem is not synonymous to Antetokounmpo and placing the ball in his hands on offense does negate that concern a fair amount.
While we’re on the subject of shooting, another weakness that Antetokounmpo showed this year was his free-throw shooting.
After shooting 74 percent from the free-throw line in the 2014-15 season, Antetokounmpo’s free-throw percentage dipped as he shot 72 percent from the charity stripe on the season.
Given how much his free-throw percentage fluctuated throughout the year and how frequent he made it to the line (Antetokounmpo had a free-throw rate of 40 percent this year), more consistency from the free-throw line will go a long way for Antetokounmpo in the future.
