Racine

Much like Green Bay, Racine is not a city with a long history of professional basketball to their name, but they do at least have one of the league’s more famous recent Wisconsin professionals.

Formerly a Buck and currently a forward for the Sacramento Kings, Caron Butler is a native of Racine who has always been active in the local community. According to Gery Woelfel of the Journal Times the mayor of Racine has had discussions about bringing the D-League team to that same community.

Mayor John Dickert was short on details, but was reported as saying:

"Yes, we are one of the cities hoping to lure the Bucks’ D-League team here."

Much like Green Bay, Racine’s lack of a public pitch and traditional professional basketball history would indicate they are something of a rank outsider, but they may yet have an ace up their sleeves which sways the Bucks in their direction.
