Strengths

Dion Waiters is good at something that’s very, very important to the Milwaukee Bucks: he can shoot. Waiters has taken at least three three-point attempts per game in all four of his NBA seasons, and has a career three-point percentage of 33.4.

He was better than that last season though. Waiters hit 35.8 percent of his threes in the regular season, and bumped up his percentage to 37.5 in the playoffs when it mattered most.

Getting some players with postseason experience could be good for the Bucks. Somehow, Dion Waiters was a crucial part of the Thunder nearly taking down Golden State.

Unlike a lot of NBA free agents, Waiters still has potential on his side too. He’s 24 years old, which isn’t rookie young but certainly isn’t old. With his shooting stroke and athleticism, Waiters could end up as a good player in the right situation.

The situation does matter though. For all of the things Waiters has going for him, he’s fairly far from a perfect player. Do his strengths make up for his weaknesses enough to make him a worthwhile target?
