Pros

Teletovic is a deadeye shooter and exactly the type of stretch four who has thrived in the NBA in recent years.

In spite of being 30 years old, the Bosnian native has only played in the NBA for four seasons to date, and as a player who isn’t reliant on athleticism or quickness, Teletovic has a game that should age well in the league.

A 37.5 percent three-point shooter overall for his four seasons between Brooklyn and Phoenix, Teletovic is consistent rather than streaky. Although he’ll take the majority of his shots within the flow of the offense, the 6’9″ forward won’t be afraid to let fly.

Averaging 8.9 attempts from deep per 36 minutes over his NBA career, Teletovic is the type of shooting specialist that Milwaukee were missing out on last season.

With over 60 percent of Teletovic’s total attempts coming from three-point range, Milwaukee’s bench rotation will pack a real scoring threat from distance, and when he’s on the floor with the starters, the likes of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jabari Parker should have greater room to drive thanks to the gravity created by the Bosnian’s shooting.

Although as I mentioned Teletovic is relatively new to the NBA, he’s still an experienced veteran. Having played under Jason Kidd in Brooklyn, he’s clearly a character who Kidd likes and trusts. Perhaps he’ll provide some of the veteran leadership that was missing last season.
