Like many fans around the league, past incidents haven’t left Bucks fans with the best impression of Delly. The signing has received mixed reviews among the fanbase, but I know from everything I’ve read that he was adored in Cleveland. What would you say to convince Bucks fans that he’ll win them over?

Aaron Ferguson (@Sports_Aaron): It’s clear to me that Dellavedova is one of those players that if he’s on your team you love him, and if he’s playing against you, you hate him. The reality is that he’s improved on the offensive end every year of his career. Where he makes the biggest difference is with his defense. His defense is admirable and he can energize his teammates with his lockdown D.

Chris De Silva (@cdesilva23): No one is going to do more to win a single basketball game than Delly does. He will give you his heart and soul, battling and scratching to win every possession. It won’t take long for him to endear himself to the Bucks faithful.

Jacob Gries (@imjacobgries): Delly’s reputation as a “dirty” player has been greatly exaggerated in league circles. People forget that he came into the league as an undrafted free agent. The chances of sticking with a team, much less becoming a rotation player with that team, after going undrafted are slim to none. Delly’s a fighter. What he lacks in athleticism, he makes up for in hustle and grit, recklessly going after loose balls, hounding opposing ball handlers and putting his body on the line for the greater good of the team. He’s the classic “love him when he’s with you, hate him when he’s against you” player. I have no doubt his playing style will resonate strongly with Bucks fans.

Mikaela Rakos (@MikaelaRak): Delly puts his heart and soul into his game. He is extremely dedicated to whatever team he’s playing for and it’s hard not to admire him for his drive and tenacity. What he lacks in talent, athleticism and grace, he more than makes up for in attitude, hustle and fearlessness.

Jackson Flickinger (@Akron_Jackson): Delly is a guy who plays every game like it’s Game 7 of the Finals. He will leave it all on the floor for you every night and will do absolutely anything to win. There’s really nothing more you can ask for from a player. However, if Bucks fans don’t think that’s enough of a reason to win Milwaukee fans over, I’m sure that’ll change by mid-November.
