Reactions: The Good

  • The Bucks got off to an impressive start with a win. That might seem a simple and obvious positive, but for a group of players who all have a point to prove in some way or the other, the hope would have to be that winning will breed confidence and we may see a more relaxed and even better performance next time out.
  • Thon Maker is as long as we were all led to believe, and as a result he’ll cause havoc defensively at any level of play. If the two blocks below don’t highlight that (and I mean how do you get a three-pointer away over those arms?!), the way in which he denied the inbounds certainly did.
  • As can be witnessed in Maker’s celebration in the Vine above, the team were certainly taking the whole Summer League experience seriously. Perhaps, even better again, it was draft additions Maker and Brogdon who seemed to set much of the tone in terms of encouragement for teammates and top quality effort throughout the night. Attitude certainly isn’t going to be an issue.
  • Malcolm Brogdon looked like one of the most experienced and comfortable players on the floor, and his jump shot is as good as the college numbers suggested too.
