Player of the Game – Rashad Vaughn

For as much promise and enjoyment can be taken from the impressive performances of Thon Maker and Malcolm Brogdon in the past few days, there’s no Bucks player for which this Summer League should hold greater significance for than Rashad Vaughn.

After a disappointing rookie campaign, there’s almost an onus on Vaughn to show that he’s going to be better next season and the first step towards that would logically come in dominating lesser competition in Las Vegas.

Vaughn’s first game couldn’t be further from anybody’s hopes, but with much improved shooting and what seemed like a more confident demeanor overall, this was the potential that ultimately convinced the Bucks to select him in the first round last year. There’s a still long road to go for Vaughn to solidify his NBA future but this would be a good point to start from.
