Yi Jianlian – 2004, 2008, 2012, 2016 Olympics
Having just impressed at his fourth Olympic Games, Yi Jianlian is making an NBA comeback with the Lakers next season. Unless something dramatic happens in the coming seasons, it seems certain that when he calls time on his career, it will be the Olympic stage that Jianlian is best remembered for though.
Jianlian has represented his country at four consecutive Olympic Games, including a home Games in Beijing in 2008, and played a total of 24 games in the Olympic tournament. The only thing really missing for his Olympic legacy is a medal.
In his 24 total games, Jianlian has averaged 10.4 points per game, with his single game high arriving in London when he racked up 30 points against Spain.
Jianlian’s previous spell in the NBA never even came close to living up to his billing as a sixth overall pick, through spells with the Nets, Wizards and Mavericks, following his trade away from the Bucks.
