Jason Terry

For a young team like the Bucks, a solid veteran presence can be the difference between being a playoff team and anxiously praying over ping-pong balls when the season is over. With the signing of Jason Terry this offseason, the Bucks have a solid veteran who can still stroke the three-ball.

A career 37.9 percent shooter from deep, the 39-year-old vet still nailed 36.5 percent last year in just under 20 minutes per game. The Jet obviously does most of his damage from behind the arc and has clearly lost a step on defense, but he can still be a valuable part of a platoon at either guard position moving forward in this contingency plan.

The good thing about Terry is that you know what you are going to get. Unlike the other players in this article, Terry is a known commodity. He has the experience. Terry knows the league and understands his role. He knows what it takes to make a team successful.

He will serve as a great mentor for the other young players on this list as they grow together. No one is really expecting Terry to be a great on-court player, but off the court, his impact could show for years to come.
