Malcolm’s Not Middling

While he may have been overshadowed by a few of the more prominent Bucks, Malcolm Brogdon continued to impress in the fifth game of his career.

Much like his game against the Pelicans, Brogdon did a little bit of everything Thursday night.  He scored 12 points in 24 minutes, going 3-of-5 from the field (2-3 from deep) and was perfect from the free-throw line in his four attempts.

Brogdon handed out five assists and was notably one of two Bucks who played significant minutes that didn’t register a turnover on the night.  Defensively, Brogdon was again a nuisance as he swiped three steals and even finished the night with a block.

Again, it’s early but Brogdon has already made quite the impression coming out of the gates to start the year.

It’s not an easy task to be effective playing significant minutes as the team’s backup point guard when you’re a rookie. But the more we see of Brogdon and how well he continues to perform, it’ll fully sink in that we’re not seeing an average rookie, much less a second rounder.
