Pretty much everyone expected Giannis Antetokounmpo to rise up to the occasion against the Bulls and that’s exactly what he did last night.  Continuing what he’s done all throughout the year, Giannis was impacting the game in a variety of ways.

Offensively, he opened the game by stretching the floor with scores from mid-range as well as downtown (Giannis finished 2-of-4 from deep), although that would eventually diminish over time.  Not to get lost in the shuffle was his transition game, with which the Bulls had no solution for.

Defensively, Giannis was just rock solid, using his length to bother shots at the rim, intercept passes and just generally hound his matchup.

In total, finishing the night with 30 points (his fifth 30-point night this year, by the way), 14 rebounds, three assists, three steals and a block has been nothing new for Giannis this year.  Then again, it’s something that will simply never get old for all of us.

So, uh, when does that fan vote for the All-Star game begin again?
