Singing ABC With The Alphabet

Going toe-to-toe with superstars has been nothing new for Giannis Antetokounmpo and last night, he delivered on another stellar performance under the bright lights.

Much like the team’s game in general, the first quarter was as quiet as Giannis would be on the night (although he did hit from long range early, his only three-point make of the night). The following quarters were where Giannis did his most damage.

Whether it was in the open court, cutting to the rim or hitting on quality looks in halfcourt situations, Giannis did a little bit of everything when it came to his scoring.  He even did so in spectacular fashion, even by his standards.

That was exhibit A and here’s exhibit B.

In addition to his scoring, Giannis was a major factor in other areas as he grabbed 10 boards, dished out five assists, garnered a steal and came away with a pindown block on Russell Westbrook midway through the third quarter.

If there was one gripe to have from Giannis’ night, it would have to be his free-throw shooting as he left points at the stripe by going 5-of-10 from the line.  But that’s neither here nor there in another All-Star-like performance for the future All-Star.
