Milwaukee Bucks: Takeaways From Win Over Oklahoma City Thunder
Oh Captain (Hook), My Captain (Hook)
Following his very forgettable performance against the Chicago Bulls, John Henson bounced back last night against the Thunder. There was nothing flashy in his performance, but Henson was a quiet, key factor for the Bucks in his 27 minutes and even came up big late in the game as well.
Starting off the scoring for the night, Henson found his spots scoring, whether it was second chance points or a solid slam on a pocket pass. Without a doubt, Henson’s biggest bucket came late on a jumper from the free-throw line to help tie the game late in the fourth.
Along with his scoring, Henson made an impact in other areas. In total, he grabbed five boards, had an assist and came away with a block.
Arguably the most intriguing part of Henson’s night is that he shared time with Monroe for a considerable amount of time. Solely based on the matchup, that move by head coach Jason Kidd didn’t prove to be a negative, judging by the duo’s positive plus-minus (+1), per NBA.com/stats.
Again, it’s hard to say this was a trademark game for Henson, but it was still nice to see a respectable night from him nonetheless, especially after a very quiet stretch of games.
