Giannis Struggles

To no one’s surprise, the team lost on a night that Giannis didn’t play his best basketball.

The Magic gave Aaron Gordon the challenge of guarding Giannis, and he did a very good job. Giannis had trouble winning the battle to get to any spot on the floor, making it difficult to get an open shot.

On the defensive end, Giannis was always near the action, but just didn’t come away with the big plays tonight.  The Magic have a big front court, the type of match up that can give him difficulties.

Giannis finished the game with 17 points on 6-17 shooting, 14 rebounds, five assists and one steal. His performance just wasn’t up to the usual Giannis standard, he looked out of sorts for much of the night.

As we all know by now, if Giannis doesn’t play well, the chances of the Bucks winning are pretty slim. The effort was there, but as is life…
