Major Key For Brooklyn: Dominate The Glass
The Brooklyn Nets are terrible at a lot of things, but one area where Brooklyn is decent is rebounding. The Nets are 14th in the NBA in rebounds per game, although that number gets inflated by their pace.
The Nets are actually a bottom-ten team in terms of rebounding percentage, on both the offensive and defensive end. Still, the point stands that the Nets are a better team when they grab a ton of boards.
When the Nets grab 52 or more rebounds as a team, they are 5-4. Any less than 52 boards, and Brooklyn is 4-42. Even if you’re not a mathematician, it’s pretty apparent the Nets are way, way, more likely to come out with a win when they eat up rebounds like the Hungry Hungry Hippos.
The Nets best rebounder is Trevor Booker, who has been a revelation in Brooklyn this year. The Nets second-best rebounder is our player to watch on Wednesday night.
