2001-02 – Ray Allen (Eliminated First Round)

Philadelphia was the location for Ray Allen’s defense of his three-point crown in 2002. Perhaps that was a sign, considering Ray wouldn’t have had the fondest of memories from that arena due to how the Bucks had been left heart broken on that very court to finish the previous season.

Allen was joined on this occasion by Wesley Person, Peja Stojakovic, Paul Pierce, Steve Smith, Mike Miller and Quentin Richardson.

With a strong opening round of 14, Allen put himself right in the mix to advance further but ultimately fell just short of Steve Nash‘s third placed mark of 15.

Allen would be traded after All-Star break in the following season, and although he would continue to appear in the competition intermittently, 2001 remained his sole success.
