Practice Hero Giannis

Giannis is a practice hero, he’s got stars in his eyes! He’s a practice heeeeero! He’ll come alive tonight!

The next theme continuation is Giannis’ enthusiasm. Everyone remembers that teammate that would throw unnecessary elbows, run to the spot the play designates you find an open look, and over contesting open lay ins.

The practice hero, was usually in the right, you should try hard in practice, but some players just hate effort. ‘Delly! Leave Kyrie alone!’

I’m not worried about him breaking any of the ‘unwritten rules’ of a basketball scrimmage. But I do think it’s very plausible that he guns it back on defense to pin a shot off the glass, causing hurt feelings from his peers.

Imagine it, Giannis breaks back to block a Kevin Durant dunk, and the only player who digs it is Russell Westbrook, who leaves for the locker room to cover all of KD’s possessions in hand soap…Russ gets his pranks from the Office, could be better, could be worse.

Giannis having the enthusiasm of the sitcom neighbor could be his downfall towards earning the practice hero label. He’ll be in the right regardless, but annoying the NBA stars could lead to some fun match-ups in the future.
